Leek and District Food Bank. Additional documents: Minutes: Members received a verbal presentation from Leek Food Bank and the Trussell Trust. The presentation explained the work that they carried out and the support they offered to the Leek community, it also offered national statistics for the 2023/2024 financial year. Members were informed of the Summer campaign “laying it all out on the table” and were invited to write their comments on the table cloth.
Members thanked presenters for the powerful message. They discussed local food banks and other support networks within their wards, the desire for District wide data to be bought forward, the demographic of those using the service, the available support for staff and volunteers, support partners, homelessness and rough sleepers, transport and travel implications, mental health impacts and lack of social housing.
RESOLVED: 1. That the presentation be noted 2. That a meeting be convened between key partners (Cabinet members, Senior Officers, Your Housing Group and the Food Bank) 3. That District wide data be bought to a future meeting |

Your Housing Group 6 Monthly Update. Additional documents: Minutes: Members received a 6 monthly update report which included; · a history of the agreement, · management structure and contact information, · neighbourhood inspection and customer engagement events, · damp and mould, · tenancy support and money advice, · aids and adaptations, · energy efficiency, · lettings, · ASB, · compliance, · development sites, · repairs and maintenance, · digital engagement, · community regeneration and KPI data for the period.
Members discussed the location of the Cheadle hub, the need for damp and mould data, effectiveness of the energy efficiency programme, development sites, the high level issues faced within these sites and the need for better schemes with increased density.
Further discussions were held concerning repair KPI’s and the correlation with complaints, recruitment and retention challenges that YHG faced, procurement of sub-contractors, ground maintenance, YHG’s proactive approach to support vulnerable residents, the back log and pause of applications for aids and adaptations and re-let timescales.
RESOLVED: 1. That the update be noted. 2. That the following data be bought back at the next update; damp and mould, effectiveness of energy efficiency programme, tenancy re-let timescales, KPI performance in other geographical areas and missed appointment data.
