REASONS FOR THE RECOMMENDATION

Approval was sought to allocated £15,000 from the Outdoor Sports and Recreation Capital Fund to provide match funding to Hayfield Juniors Football Club towards a pitch improvements project at Bank Vale playing pitches. 

Approval was also sought to allocate £1,500 from the Outdoor Sports and recreation Capital Fund to provide match funding to New Mills tennis Club for their court refurbishment project.

ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED:

As set out in paragraph 5 of the report.

RESOLVED:

That the allocation of £15,000 from the Outdoor Sports and Recreation Capital Fund as the Council’s contribution to support the Pitch Improvement project by Hayfield Juniors Football Club and similarly the allocation of £1,500 to New Mills Tennis Club be approved, on the basis that the remaining match funding for both projects be secured by the respective clubs.
