Minutes:

There was an update following the first year of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, with information relating to implementation and homelessness applications made during 2018/19.  Discussion took place on mitigating the impact of Universal Credit, intervention, local connections

 

RESOLVED: That the contents of the report be noted and regular updates be presented to future meetings.

Minutes:

A recycling centre tour would be arranged and would be open to all members. The Police had confirmed their attendance at the next meeting. It would be confirmed whether there would be a Street Clean update to the next meeting. The remit of the forthcoming Single Use Plastics Working Group was discussed.

 

RESOLVED: That the Select Committee Work Programme as amended be noted.

Supporting the Council's legal duties under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010

Minutes:

The report outlined the Council’s approach to meeting its duties under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010 and a proposed change to the staffing complement within the Environmental Health team.

 

RESOLVED:

1.    That the Executive be recommended to note the approach taken by the Council in meeting its duties under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010.

 

2.    That the Executive be recommended to support the proposed change to the staffing complement within the Environmental Health team.
