One application had been received for the position of Chairman from Councillor Quinn, and one application for the position of Vice-Chairman from Councillor Sizeland.

 

RESOLVED:

 

1.               That Councillor Quinn be appointed as Chairman of Community Select Committee for the 2019/20 Municipal Year.

 

2.               That Councillor Sizeland be appointed as Vice-Chairman of Community Select Committee for the 2019/20 Municipal Year.

around the Council’s decision making process, the role of scrutiny, the role of

Community Select Committee, developing a work programme and the role of

officers.

RESOLVED:

 

That Councillors Kelly, Kerr, Haken, Young and Collins be appointed to the Single Use Plastics Working Group.  An additional nomination would be made by the Labour Group.  The remit of the Group would be extended to include the use of pesticides by the Council.

The Committee discussed a number of items for inclusion on the work programme. These included the Street Clean Team, Leisure Contract performance, Alliance Environmental Services performance and updates from Buxton Volunteer Bureau, Derbyshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner.
